I was introduced to Josh by a business partner when I inquired about solar energy for my home after purchasing a new Tesla.

Knowing that your Solar and/or Roof job is being installed by a company that is operating on the premise that EVERY job they install is not based on how much profit they will make, but instead is centered on how much savings and reward the customer will generate.

You are going to want to read this….Solarship and their partners provided Fantastic service all the way through. I can’t say enough! For nearly 7 years I researched solar and dealt with two OTHER companies even to the point of pulling permits. Both companies / sales reps ultimately tried to oversell panels to me to make more money. The town intervened the first time because a new transformer was going to be needed and I would have to pay $$$$ for it! I figured out that the second company was also overselling me panels, telling me the transformer wasn’t needed, because they were ultimately charging me for said transformer without making it a line item. They also tried to charge me for an electrical box that Eversource would be taking care of automatically as part of the program. That salesman told me I wasn’t going to be able to switch companies because I would have to wait 6 months to close the permit, blah blah blah… So I called my town building department the next morning and the permits were canceled by the afternoon.

After all of the above nonsense I found Solarship to help me go solar. The owner Josh Kekac, worked with me to give me what I needed for my home. He was professional, thorough, and honest. How solar works, the different programs available, every step of the process and every line item was explained. Every question I had was answered. It was clear that he is running his business ethically and wants what is best for each of his customers. I also spoke briefly with two of Josh’s salesmen who were of the same caliber. It was such a different experience – I knew I was in good hands and felt no anxiety. There was no transformer needed, and there were no crazy sales tactics. My experience was so simple, honest and straightforward that while sitting at my table, I literally asked him, “That’s all there is to it?” Yup. Thats all there is to it.

The men who came to do the solar installation were just as professional. They were from Everlast Energy, one of two well-vetted companies that Solarship works with. Before their arrival, I got a notice of their estimated time of arrival, and also every team member’s name and what their job was. They all wore uniforms and name tags, and introduced themselves to me. They behaved like kind and respectful guests in my home, and worked hard all day to set up my system. My many and sometimes silly questions were answered clearly by Daniel the electrician, and with patience and respect. It was such a different experience than other times I have had work done on my home.

The follow-up from Josh at Solarship was fantastic – he checked in with me and sincerely wanted to know how things were going, and then how they went. I couldn’t have asked for better. If you are interested in going solar, give Solarship a call. You have nothing to lose. I’m willing to stake my own reputation on them.

I’ve had the pleasant experience of working with Josh several times now. Both times he was kind and courteous. He doesn’t pressure you to make haste decisions and lays it all on the table. His knowledge and experience shine, while maintaining a fun yet professional demeanor. Motivated and Honest. Can’t beat that! I know of at least 3 people who have gone solar with him personally and at least 3 more who wish they went with him and got boned!
