Customer reviews
In January of 2022—two and a half years ago, we ordered a solar tracker system from GM Industries. The total cost of the project was $110,949. The project required the removal of many trees on our property; this was done by our regular tree service in March of 2021 at an additional cost of $17,000. We have made three payments to GM Industries totally $ 58,299. Thus, we’re out $75K so far.
Right away, in April 2022, a concrete base was installed, along with a trench to the house and some empty electrical boxes outside and inside the house. Since then—26 months later, NOTHING has happened. Several times installation dates have been promised, including a FOR-SURE installation of the array of between Thanksgiving and Christmas of 2023. No installation occurred, nor was any notification received regarding further delay.
In short, Glenn Martin has made repeated promises that has not been met. I do know that he continued installing the concrete bases at the homes of others in 2022, thereby luring more customers into huge investments while not delivering on the promised solar arrays, savings on electricity, or tax breaks.
Very innovative next generation solar products and knowledgeable staff
They lie and Glenn can’t schedule any work properly
1/23 signed agreement gave down payment, 2/23 concrete poured for footing more money given, 5/23 meter socket put in, 10/23 nothing more has been done. I have called a lot to no response or I will get back to you, and he never does. I was told 30 days after concrete was poured that everything would be done, then I was told 6 weeks and now its been 8 months I already gave the thieves $30,000 so I’m stuck
excess power makes money for me monthly instead of paying money to ever source
Not a great company to work with. Rude, unprofessional and inexplicably inappropriate.

Our Recommendation
As a solar expert, GM Industries, Inc. has a strong background and extensive experience in the solar industry, particularly with their innovative dual-axis trackers. Their long history and comprehensive service offerings are significant advantages. However, the mixed reviews suggest that while many customers are satisfied, there have been some issues with customer service and professionalism.
Pros:
- Innovative and efficient solar solutions.
- Extensive experience and long-standing presence in the industry.
- Wide range of services and customization options.
Cons:
- Mixed customer reviews with some reports of unprofessional behavior.
- Lack of specific information on financing options and warranty details.
Based on this analysis, we would recommend considering GM Industries, Inc. for solar installations in Connecticut, especially for those interested in advanced solar tracking systems. However, potential customers should ensure clear communication and possibly seek references or testimonials to address any concerns about customer service.
