Several years ago Joe put 42 solar panels on the roof of our house and garage. The process was seamless and affordable. The crew was efficient, clean and professional. This brought our electric bill to zero. When we retired and sold our house the utility sent us a check for the extra electricity we had produced.

Our only regret is he can’t come to our new home in SC to install some here.

This review is long overdue! Bottom line: Smart Roofs Solar is the answer! Our home is heated by electric and oil. When we purchased our home it had a large family room that we love, which was added about 30 years ago. Our stove, refrigerators, clothes dryer, and central air-conditioner all run with electricity . . . and then there was our family room–with old baseboard electric heating controlled by a wall thermostat! Since we practically live in the family room, our electric bill was never below $250.00 a month and in the winter months it often reached well over $500.00 a month. We were desperate after a few years of paying for all that electricity (I still have some of the old bills to prove it and was tempted to post them!), so we started meeting with some of the solar companies you see signs of as you drive in various neighborhoods. Those companies felt the best they could reduce our high electric bill down to was about $130.00 a month for 12 months, because we used so much electricity a year. They could not calculate that their solar services would be able to generate enough solar energy to reduce our electric bill any further each month. THANKFULLY, before I signed on their dotted line I met with Joe from Smart Roof Solar. Joe is very knowledgeable with no pushy sales techniques. All I can say is we are thankful often, especially when our electric bill comes, because most months we only pay the $12.00 solar service fee that everyone pays to the electric company. Only about two months a year, during the coldest months of winter when we have the heat on all day in the electric family room, will we see a bill approximately $225.00. Also, we only have to fill our Oil tank once a year to heat the main house! We can’t thank Joe, and the team at Smart Roofs Solar enough, for reducing our electricity bill down so dramatically. As prices continue to soar, we are glad we switched to solar and have saved a ton of money ever since. Thank you Joe and Smart Roofs Solar!!

Joe and his team were professional and demonstrated integrity throughout the process of designing and installing our home solar system. It has functioned flawlessly since the day it was completed several years ago and the savings are significant with ever increasing energy costs. I installed solar panels over 6 years ago. I researched several companies and Smart Roofs was significantly more affordable than the competition. Joe (the owner) personally oversaw the entire process, from the initial needs analysis, system recommendation, and installation, as well as ongoing support, ensuring everything was done right. We have saved $200-$300 per month on our electric bills, and the panels paid themselves off in just a couple of years.

They were very professional we are a non profit veterans organization. American Legion in Milford that has special needs that were met by the contractor. They worked with the sub contractors and the state to get the job completed. The money saved with the solar project is applied to the assistance of our veterans. They were FANTASTIC to work with.

Smart Roofs Solar provided a true turn key solar and roof solution for my home. Joe was always quick to respond via email, text, or phone. My system is working perfectly and I have no doubt Smart Roofs Solar will continue to provide excellent service and support.
