This company, particularly the business owner does not operate on honesty and integrity. The solar panels on my home were installed on the roof but not completely connected. It was determined that an electrical upgrade was needed after Mr. Thomas received a full $75000.00 payment. He has not yet to complete the install after 6 months and continues to provide excuses. I went to the actual place of business to find that it is a dummy business.

He did have an electrician come out to the property a few weeks ago. Maybe he will stick true to his word to avoid legal matters. I am happy to update this review once the job has been completed or the money returned immediately! God don’t like ugly and time will surely tell.

It’s been more than 9 months that panel were installed but it’s not connected, Sunrun also has terminated the contract and they can’t help. Prince was the sales rep and he does not respond to my email. Don’t use this company! It’s a SPAM and they should be investigated by the state. Prince, pls sort out the issue soon …..

DO NOT WORK WITH THIS COMPANY. Thomas told me he will handle all the communication with Sunpower to get the panels activated. Now he tells me that Sunpower took the account and he can’t do anything. Panels have been installed since July of 2023 yet the panels haven’t been activated. When I try to get a hold of him, he’s rarely answering the phone. And even when he gets back to you, he says he doesn’t have the account so he would not be able to help. I REPEAT DO NOT WORK WITH THIS COMPANY IF YOU JUST WANT TO DISPLAY THE SOLAR PANELS ON YOUR HOUSE.

This company is by far the worst company ever. Currently, they are being Investigated for their business practices. If you want to stress, sure join them, but you would be a fool. Many of the things that they’re trying to sell they’re not even licensed to sell. RUN SOON, I WILL FINALLY HAVE THE PANELS THEY PUT ON MY ROOF TAKEN OFF.

The next time I see these fools will be in court. For restitution for what they did. The only reason they’re showing an overall rating is because they are having friends and family members lie and review the company. Don’t be fooled because the only thing you can do if you are shame on yourself. Thomas Davies is a CEO in his own brain only. So he writes it down everywhere, but he knows nothing about running a business. Often he will try to tell you that you have the wrong company. I know what company I’m talking about the one located out of West Haven Connecticut

Decided go solar in 2021. Prince was very professional. He was knowledgeable and patiently walked me through the process of going green. He followed through on his word and answered my questions in a timely manner.

Overall Freedom Solar has been the WORST company I have ever dealt with. Wilmot who represented himself as a Sunpower representative is who got us on board. After googling Sunpower we saw that they had amazing reviews so we started our process (July 2022). At this point we have never heard the name Freedom Solar, only Sunpower. In August we heard no word from Wilmot. In September we reached out and was told we are waiting for someone to complete an energy assessment. Heard nothing in October. In November I called Wilmot and told him we would be going with a different company. He promised to make sure we had our appointment soon. By the first week in December we had our energy assessment done. The end of January we had our panels installed on our roof.

No news in February, or March. In the beginning of April I received my first loan payment bill! Our panels are still not running. Reached out to Wilmot and told him I wanted the panels removed. He refused. Thomas refused. Prince refused. They all told me that I was “under contract” and they would not remove the panels. May- no word, no working panels, another payment due. June- no word, no working panels, another payment due.

Here we are in December 2023, text messages still going unanswered, no working panels, another payment due. The loan company could not put off the payments because we have the panels installed. It does not matter to TechUco that the panels are not activated, they offered no help or guidance. So, here we are paying for panels, and electricity and still cant use our panels.

Through the amazing help of the electrician, and the Town we live in, we were able to get as far as we did in this solar panel process. Through lots of emailing, phone calls and overall tenacity we seem close to done. Just need Freedom to actually do their job!

Unless you have plenty of money and time to kill trying to get in contact with anyone who will listen or help, don’t bother with Freedom solar. They’re a SCAM!

Don’t believe the 5 star reviews I KNOW for sure at least two of them are Prince’s friends and family so the others maybe too This company sucks still waiting for my panel to be operational for over 18 months. I bought my panels via loan so not only do I have to pay an electric bill but also I am paying a loan bill to prevent wrecking my credit scores. BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY.

It’s now Mid November, and the panels on our roof can still not be turned on because they haven’t been inspected yet, and Freedom can’t give an estimate of when an inspector can give us the go ahead. Yet, The bill comes every month regardless.

So…. If you want to pay $50k for solar panels that you canR17;t turn on, call Freedom Solar! They’ll take cash your check, sign your contract, and leave you hanging with no recourse besides telling you that “there is nothing that can be done, and it’s not normally like this”

Terrible customer service, terrible installation experience, dishonest sales people. Steer clear.

0 stars! Who is this Prince guy that everyone is saying is soo great? Thomas Davies has been an absolute DISASTER to work with. Both my mother and I have panels sitting on the roof collecting dust. Over 10 months and the bare minimum response from him. Failed inspection. My mom’s panels aren’t even approved by eversource yet. This guy did all this work on our house without even pulling permits. Panels are originally placed crooked. Absolutely ridiculous. He was so quick to answer the phone when we were signing with him but now it’s days, weeks, sometimes no response from him. Save yourself the headache and turn him away if he tries to sell you his fake lies.

Prince was very knowledgeable of his stuff, answered all the questions I had, was patient and very professional. Def recommended!

Some sales person just came to my house on a Sunday afternoon, giving me his sales pitch, asked for my kw hrs used, I told him the avg per month and wanted me to show him my account so he could see it. So you want me to go to solar but already you don’t trust me. It was just a rough estimate to see if it was worth it and the person got an attitude when I told him to get off my property.

Edited: Yes, I did email you and called- no response, it’s been a YEAR since they are sitting on the roof not connected. Going with this company cost me another summer paying $300/month for electricity.

It’s been more than 6 months panels on the roof but not connected, not answering the phone, I’m not even sure if they are still in business and what should I do with those panels now, called SunPower, they do not care either.

They put in my panels and did not have an approved permit for the work to be done. No one is contacting me back. They have been lying and saying they are doing things they aren’t doing. Nails sticking out in my attic. They are shady and don’t stand behind their work as a company. My rep Thomas Davies has been saying give me time give me time. Won’t give me a corporate number. They contract shady electricians. How am i supposed to feel safe with electric work in my home ! ***Just an update 4weeks have gone by and still no permit from the town. I have had no one contact me about an ER visit from nails that caused me to get staples and a tetanus shot??? I still have panels on my roof that are misplaced and now need to be moved per the building inspector! What a nightmare! Do not do business with this company! Ray is the electrician.

Signed up for solar over a year ago and have had a great experience. Prince Brooks was my main contact through the whole process and he was extremely professional throughout. He was always on top of everything and constantly reaching out with updates on the process. Great communication overall.

I had a great experience with Stanley Lipka and Prince Brooks I cannot wait to save money and the Both the men were Top Notch….Highly Recommend

Prince Brooks is that guy! He is open, honest, and answered all my questions. He was friendly and it did not feel like he was rushing me into anything, which I appreciate. So far I’ve saved over $5,000 this year (7 months in). That’s why his name is mentioned so many times on these reviews! The install was quick, the team was great.

People are skeptical of 0 down solar because it is something new and you aren’t informed. I was that person. If you have questions or doubts, don’t take my word for it, Prince is the guy who will take his time with you to make sure you feel informed. I am lucky he approached my house.

Wilmot was very thorough in his explanation about the cost despite me being a weary customer.

In hindsight, I am glad to have continued the process and now the benefit of having solar panels are saving me money monthly.

Prince is a very knowledgeable and easy to work with easy-going young man. He explained all of the options available I have a true PPA installed two years ago and couldn’t be happier not to mention he also help qualify my home for a BRAND NEW ROOF as part of my solar deal.

Prince was very informative and knowledgeable of the information. I was a bit skeptical at 1st because it’s something new that I was interested in, but he was very patient with me definitely will recommend Prince
