Great company to work with – we are very pleased with the final product and from start to finish they made everything super easy! We went through a lot of different interview processes with solar companies and we felt like Earthlight was the best one out there!
From my first contact with Earthlight all of the staff have been timely and professional. They answer questions promptly and courteously. From the sales person, to the installers, the person on site for the inspection, and the tech for the final walkthrough. I am one happy customer.

From the first meeting to when we turned our system on and had the last walk through, we are very happy with our experience.
The new people that Earthlight has working their call center make this company very difficult to do business with. They test your patience telling you that they know more about your house and the shade it gets from a satellite image than you who lives there and the many other solar companies who’ve also surveyed your land with not only satellites but drones and such. If you live in an open field with zero and I mean zero tree coverage like a lot of the houses in Ellington then I could see yourself potentially having a different experience. My garage is the only part of my house with tree coverage and they refused to come out until I removed trees. All of the trees on my property that produce shade are already cut. Craziness.
Everyone we met was courteous, professional, knowledgeable and very helpful as we launched our solar future. They walked us through every step of the way, and when some unexpected issues arose they coached and encouraged us. Thank you.
After years of being afraid to go solar we finally took the plunge. We spoke to several companies but ultimately went with Earthlight based primarily on their reputation. After working with these folks we can tell you that every staff member is patient and knowledgeable. They take time to explain it several times if need be. We live in a historical district with rules about how things look and what can be visible from the walking path in front of our home. Our initial design was rejected by the town Earthlight quickly stepped up with a new plan. The workers are all professional and skilled. We would love to give a shout out to Mike the project manager; Heather who was always there to save the day and the countless other trades. Earthlight is one of the only two contractors we would ever hire again without any hesitation on another project. The other is East Coast Metal Roofing. Both companies are head and shoulders above the competition in their respective industries. It was our pleasure to hire and work with EarthLight. Our system with two Franklin batteries for backup power is making beautiful energy and we are thrilled about every facet of this project. If you are considering solar but hesitant we strongly encourage you to contact Earthlight. We are so happy we did.
My experience could not have been better! Everyone was so helpful and extremely knowledgeable and supportive at the same time. They took the time with me to explain things through out the process and answered my questions regardless of what I asked. Working with Earthlight for our solar installation was one of the most professional and smoothest home improvement project that we have done. Everyone one that we worked with was knowledgeable and very helpful. Their process was well developed and easy at each step. The installation was great and our new panels are working wonderfully.
