My experience with Green Power Energy was first rate. I had evaluated a number of residential solar companies before choosing Green Power and they did not disappoint. From the evaluation process through the installation, everyone was responsive and professional. Trevor, was both patient and knowledgeable during the home evaluation process and worked with me to understand the process. Stephen in sales worked with me to make sure the configuration was exactly as we wanted it to be and walked me through the various stages of implementation. I also liked how responsive Green Power was to my ask for existing customer references who were able to give me confidence that picking Green Power was the right choice. Even when issues occurred, they were always willing to make things right. Five stars!
Their telemarketer caller began the phone call calling me beautiful while greeting me. When I asked him to repeat what he said, he wouldn’t repeat it, and claimed he was talking to someone. I told him to stop calling me because I already have solar, & if they called again I would file a complaint. He said he would call me later on his personal phone. In addition to the harassment of telemarketing, I find this to be personal harassment and stalking through the contact information he has on me. Not only very unprofessional, but potentially criminal and I would never do business with this company or recommend anyone else to even contemplate it.
From the initial call to Green Power Energy to the post-install meeting every step was professional and pleasant. Our sales representative Matt Greatsinger was very thorough in his explanations of all the processes involved, the milestone steps and possible points of delay. He also quickly responded to any questions we had during the entire process and found answers for us if he did not know.
The electrical and solar panel install crews were also very professional and answered any questions we might have had for them. During every step of the process the communication was outstanding. We knew when and how everything was happening. We would recommend Green Power Energy without hesitation.
Installers were very efficient and pleasant and the system works very well.

I got estimates from several companies before deciding on Green Power Energy. The people at Green Power seemed the most down-to-earth and honest of the lot. Other companies used high-pressure sales techniques and had prices almost double what Green Power was offering. The process took longer than I hoped, largely due to delays caused the electric company and local town inspector. The system has been up and running since mid-January 2024. There have been two problems with protective fuses getting blown by some kind of power surge from the grid. Green Power fixed the problems within a week. The service team is excellent and quite professional, but I wish they could come sooner when a problem occurs because it means going a week without the system generating electricity. My only other “complaint” is that just before the system was to be installed, I got an email offering two options — the original we had agreed on and another costlier one with a few more panels. This had not been explained in advance and I was taken by surprise, not knowing which one would meet my needs and whether I should spend more money to cover my electrical usage. I spoke to my salesman who said the original should work fine, and so far he had been correct. I did not appreciate the last minute attempt to sell me a costlier system. That said, my experience with Green Power has been generally excellent and I would recommend the company. I gave it 5 stars in the rating, but if it were possible I would give it a 4.5 rating because of the surprising last-minute email.
I wish I could give them 10 stars! From the interview process to turning on the solar the company was great. They told me it would take about 3 months to get up and running and they finished the job in 2 1/2 months.
On time and for the money they quoted me (we purchased the system).
It’s been about 45 days since we turned it on and we already have a credit with the power company, I’m very impressed with the performance of the system.

If you want solar Green Power Energy is the company you should hire.
Throughout the entire process – from Sales to Engineering to Installation to Post-Install Follow-Up – I could not have been happier nor felt better supported than I was with GPE. The team addressed my hard questions with professionalism – and my dumb ones with patience – and I feel confident that I not only installed the best solar solution for our home but that I also had the best team doing it!

GreenPower did a phenomenal job from start to finish on the installation of Solar Panels for my home. The electrician’s, panel installation crew were all very courteous & professional. All communications was clear and timely. I highly recommend GreenPower!
Communicated the process of going solar completely and did everything exactly like they stated. No surprises and the system is working just like they said it would. Very happy with the entire company from the salesman to the installers. Also had one of the better prices.
Green Power was quite efficient and professional during the installation of our solar panels. We had a few minor glitches, but they were always there to make it right.
We got solar PVs installed last summer through Green power energy. The process was very streamlined and we just had to follow their clear instructions. The team gave us all the information we needed, enough heads-up when work would start, and prompt follow up for what was to come. We chose them because of their high rating on Energysage and are very happy we did.
We met with multiple companies before deciding to work with Green Power. They were quick and did quality work. They also have the best warranty, and a competitive price. Our rep Austin was excellent, low pressure, and professional. Definitely recommend them!
Green Power Energy has been an awesome partner and advisor when it comes to residential solar. My rep, Matt Greatsinger was and still is super responsive. I got my quotes in January, had my survey in Feb, was installed early March and had PTO by the end of the month. Throughout the process, everyone from GPE was focused on ensuring we had the right solution, that all the legal and paperwork with the utility were handled, and they even sent multiple electricians out to check and double check everything.
I am extremely pleased and willing to be a reference.
As per GPEs recommendation, I had my roof replaced just before the solar panels went up in early 2022, by a vendor recommended by the sales rep from GPE. We’ve had numerous leaks in various places since then. The roofers blame GPE and vice versa. I voiced frustration to GPE with this and was told I should be grateful they tried helping me at all but would no longer. After another major leak, we just hired another roofing company to fix mistakes made. Wish that I had not gone through with this.
A large solar company tried to lure us in to a deal but when I did some research, I found I was being misled. The salesman spent over an hour in our home discussing his company and himself. He recommended a PPA loan (meaning they take your 30% federal tax credit!) and dangled a deceivingly low monthly payment that in the fine print, actually increased 3% each year over 25 years. I walked away.
I searched for more local companies and found that Green Power Energy was a few towns over. I was matched with our agent Austin who met over zoom to discuss our solar needs. He didn’t once boast the company or try to sell anything but instead, he listened. I kept him busy for a few weeks breaking down ALL the fine print and going over financial math for several options. He was honest about what options would be most beneficial for us as customers not for their company. He also got us quite a few incentives that were helpful to offset costs.
Throughout the process, he kept close tabs on our project status and the company overall had very timely and clear communication. Austin helped me create a panel layout of my preferences to optimize power production with the panels not being visible from the front of our home. During the installation process, a few adjustments needed to be made and I was notified. When I asked for details regarding the issues, they were more than willing to provide photos and explain the wiring corrections they had made.
As a customer, the process was quick and painless and the company was very easy to work with. We have only had the panels for 2 weeks so I cannot comment on needing customer service or repairs but I’m hopeful that because they are a small company they are more committed to truly serving their customers.

Just completed our solar installation using Green Power in Connecticut, and it was a great experience from beginning to end. We interviewed a number of solar installers and chose Green Power, and we have no regrets. Installation teams came on time, were quick and clean; GP handled all the permitting with our town and electric company; great customer service. I’d recommend them to any of my neighbors for solar.
Excellent service! Everybody that worked on our job was excellent from the sales person (Bart) to the inspector, electricians, and the panel installers. Our job was completed ahead of schedule and the panels have been working well! I would highly recommend this company because of their excellent employees.
