We are SO pleased with how Alex from Trinity Solar handled our process! After being very skeptical, we decided to give a solar company a try, and did our homework on who we felt would be the best fit for our family. Alex came referred to us, and we are so thankful he did! He listened and answered all of our questions (even now, 2 years after installation), and has always been kind and helpful. He is extremely knowledgeable and keeps in touch, checking in from time to time. My family is grateful to him for his professionalism, courtesy, and care. He’s certainly an asset to your team, Trinity Solar, and we are thankful for everything your company has done for our solar switch! 🤩

We worked with Anthony DiGiacomo to install solar on our home. I had a lot of questions, which Anthony answered patiently and clearly. He communicated with us throughout the entire process and was with us from beginning to end. I didn’t feel like he made the sale and disappeared, we are still in touch over a year later. The install was done earlier than expected and the workers hustled! They were professional, polite, and clean. Stephanie from the NJ office also stayed in touch with us throughout the process and kept us informed of dates and next steps. Our service has been on since May of 2023. During the summer, we watch our credits grow. Despite 2023 being an incredibly rainy year, we had a credit during the warmer months. Over the winter, we did have an electric bill, but it was nominal compared to the huge bills we were getting prior to solar. I can’t tell you how much this has reduced my anxiety, knowing what my payment will be each month. I was a skeptic, but in hindsight I can say this was a great investment. I highly recommend Anthony and his team at Trinity Solar.

One of their sketchy salesmen was trying to sell me solar panels while I was shopping at Home Depot in Southington. Apparently Home Depot allows that but the car salesman tactics are not a good look regardless.

I was working with Nate Dinger on the project. Everything went smooth as could be very professional. Did an awesome job. Very happy with the job and continuing with the panel install as I speak.

Repeatedly soliciting the same home after being told “no thanks” should be enough to be left alone. No doesn’t mean come back next week, next month, next 3 months, and knock again. It means no. They don’t want what you are selling. Have some respect. It’s unamerican. Trinity Solar would do anything for another dollar lol.

The experience with Trinity Solar is far too rushed and frankly manipulative. My sales rep was respectful and professional overall but some of tactics used were not appropriate and were ultimately a turn off for me. A project like this requires time to think and is a trust building process. It’s unrealistic to expect a customer to sign up for the program within a week of even really learning about solar! I needed to understand my roof age and condition, my long term housing situation, the impact of a project on a future home sale, the aesthetic impact, the tax impact, weigh a PPA vs. full system ownership, understand and research the future of solar and alternative energy to know if I want 25 year old panels on my house, study my historical power usage and allocate a budget as needed, along with several other points, all basically within a week! Not to mention, I would obviously want to shop around with other power providers to get more quotes. I think it would do well for Trinity, particularly when dealing with customers who lack knowledge about solar, to play the “long game” and build trust over time. The approach actually taken with me backfired and now I’m skeptical of the company and its intentions to help customers and help society transition to more environmentally friendly energy sources.

Company itself seems good and legit, and the reps themselves are nice, however the sales/marketing reps from Trinity come, unsolicited and randomly, to your home, asking if you’re interested.

Trinity – let your good product and services do the marketing for you. Don’t need a stranger to come knocking. Some families don’t enjoy visits from strangers.

TLDR (Too Long Didn’t Read): Trinity missed their own follow-up meeting with no communication to us and never followed up. I wouldn’t recommend trusting them with such a big decision as going solar is.

Trinity Solar came around knocking on the doors of my neighborhood and my wife and I were considering going solar, so we scheduled an appointment for them to come out and give us a quote. We have had other solar installers out and they all came ready with a design and a quote. They could also on the fly change the design and give us updated numbers. Trinity came out to give us more sales talk and said they would have to schedule another appointment to come up with a design and quote. We weren’t particularly happy they weren’t ready to go the first meeting, but we scheduled the follow-up appointment. Appointment time came and went with Trinity a no-show without any communication that they weren’t going to make it. No follow-up from Trinity afterwards, just completely ghosted. We suspect it was because we were interested in buying everything for cash rather than signing up for their real moneymaker, the 0 down option where Trinity becomes your new electric provider. We suspect this because the representative kept pushing the 0 down option and seemed to shut down when we said we were looking to purchase panels. If they can’t make a meeting, they can’t be trusted to be our solar provider.

Paul Carylo came to my home to explain how Trinitys Solar system works. He came out several times along with numerous texts to help me through the process and answer any new questions I had. He was very patient and knowledgeable. The team came out today to do the installation and all of them, from the electricians to the installers were neat, helpful and very professional. I’m very happy with my choice!

Please PLEASE stop sending representatives of your company to homes in Canterbury CT. The community is fed up with the damage done to our lawns, the lack of respect when there’s posted “no trespassing” signs, the times they’re showing up, (after 7 pm) and the lack of identification. Some of us have videos of your employees even looking in our private back yards. Pay to put flyers in the mail like other reliable companies. This is unacceptable.

Alexis Salas was excellent on taking the time to explain the benefits and options with a power purchase agreement. I’m a natural skeptic about change from the norm but Alexis educated me and answered all my crazy questions with confidence and the information that he provided was accurate. I’m so happy we chose to go Solar with Trinity as the insulation was flawless and the crew was professional and kept the job site clean.

We have had our system generating electricity for just over 2 months and we are already building a credit with Eversource. I guess timing is everything in life as we all watch Eversource continue to relapse their rates.

Thanks again to Trinity Solar and Alexis Salas for their help. I would recommend Alexis and Trinity to anyone looking into the Solar System as an alternative to to the “norm” for their electricity.

Our Recommendation

Trinity Solar, a privately-held residential solar company, has been in the industry for nearly 30 years. It has made its mark as one of the longest active solar companies, serving nine states on the east coast of the U.S., including Connecticut. But is it the right choice for residents of Connecticut? Let’s delve into the details.

Ratings and Reviews

Trinity Solar has received mixed reviews from customers. On one hand, it has a Google Review Rating of 4.4 based on feedback from 685 customers. On the other hand, only 20% of the 11 verified customer reviews on ConsumerAffairs expressed satisfaction. The complaints largely revolve around customer service issues, delays in fixing system issues, lack of consumption information in their app, and concerns about leasing agreements.

Staff Qualifications

Trinity Solar prides itself on its team of over 2,700 certified technicians, electricians, engineers, and construction professionals. They offer extensive paid training and ongoing support to ensure that all of their employees have the opportunity to meet and exceed their professional goals.

Solar Panel Options

Trinity Solar primarily installs Q Cells solar panels, which are nearly on par with industry leader SunPower’s panels. Q Cells is one of the largest solar panel manufacturers in the world, known for its high-efficiency ratings.

Warranty Options

Trinity Solar offers warranties of up to 25 years, although the workmanship warranty lasts only five years. The equipment you choose comes with its own warranty.

Payment Options

Trinity Solar offers several different financing options: full purchase, loan, solar lease, or a power purchase agreement. They also offer a $0 upfront pricing option for customers who choose to lease their solar system.

Post-Installation Support

Trinity Solar provides post-installation support and has a dedicated customer service team available from Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm ET. They also have an answering service available after 5pm ET.

BBB Rating

Trinity Solar has received an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau (BBB).

While Trinity Solar has a strong presence in the solar industry and offers a range of services, the mixed customer reviews indicate that there may be room for improvement in certain areas, particularly in customer service and post-installation support. However, their high BBB rating, staff qualifications, and solar panel options are commendable.

Therefore, if you’re a resident of Connecticut considering going solar, Trinity Solar could be a viable option. However, it’s always a good idea to get multiple quotes and consider all available options before making a decision. Remember, the best solar company is the one that meets your specific needs and expectations.
