ISP was easy to work with. They were very responsive to my questions and concerns. They were one of three companies I took bids from. They were open to addressing the points raised by the other companies. They also produced the most effective design–significantly more effective! The system produces the kW they guaranteed. And I was delighted to receive my first electric bill for $0 last month.

For example, some states have specific solar PV contractor licenses. You can find detailed, state-specific licensing information in the National Solar Licensing Database provided by the Interstate Renewable Energy Council (IREC).

Industry Certifications: The North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP) offers certifications for solar professionals. To become NABCEP-certified, installers must pass an exam, sign a code of ethics, and possess at least one year of installation experience. NABCEP Certification is either preferred or mandatory for solar system installations to be eligible for incentive programs in several states. However, we couldn’t find specific information about ISP Solar Provider’s NABCEP certification.

Insurance Details: Solar panel insurance shields homeowners from financial losses due to damage, theft, or other unforeseen events affecting their solar energy systems. Most home insurance policies do cover rooftop solar panels. However, some types of panels (like ground mount solar panels or solar carports) may not be covered under your home insurance. • Leases: Under a solar lease, a solar energy provider installs, maintains, and operates solar panels on a customer’s premises. Unfortunately, we couldn’t find specific information about ISP Solar Provider’s lease options.
  • Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs): A PPA is a long-term contract for the sale of electricity generated by renewable energy projects. Under a solar PPA, this third-party owner (e.g., a solar company) installs solar panels on your property and then sells you the electricity produced at a predetermined monthly rate.
