Their Facebook promo to provide you with solar at no charge is a bait-and-switch. I spent at least half an hour on the phone with their rep, and was told by him that my home is perfectly situated for solar, and he told me I’d be eligible for free installation or I could buy the panels (cost range from $10K-$30K) and take advantage of a 26% tax benefit. I didn’t jump on buying because I’m too old to live long enough to get my investment back. I told him I’d talk with my son who’d had experience with a solar system and give it more thought. He told me he’d send me a package of all the details we’d discussed, which he didn’t do. Then I got a text saying the home isn’t eligible for the no-charge installation. My take: their real purpose is to sell you solar panels,
