We had a great experience with an energizeCT energy audit and air sealing service provided by Lantern Energy. Mikey, our lead service tech, took the time to explain the full service and answer my many questions. He and his team had excellent attention to detail. The team worked well together, meticulously sealing the house and replacing shower heads with more efficient but still very functional fixtures. Unfortunately we found an issue with an insulated crawlspace attic out of the garage which, as written, made our entire home ineligible for the Eversource attic insulation rebate. Mikey could have easily just said there was nothing they could do about Eversources rules but we both agreed this isolated and unique circumstance warranted exemption. He and his team went to bat for us and filed for exemption with the utility, which was eventually approved after I suspect a fair amount of time was put in on their end. They could have easily made this my problem and would have been paid the same amount of money for their service. I really appreciate Mikey and his team going the extra mile and ultimately recovering well over $1000 in rebates that we would have missed out on. I would strongly recommend them to anyone due to their friendliness, attention to detail, and motivation to provide the best possible customer experience!

Kevin and his team did an amazing job with our MassSave recommended weatherization project. Highly impressed with the professionalism and quality of work delivered. Margaret did a great job in coordinating this and was always prompt and helpful in our communication. From start to finish, the entire team demonstrated expertise and attention to detail. Thank you!

Even when providing recommendations at the end of the appointment, I was provided with great detail on why these suggestions were made as opposed to others. I am very grateful for all the work they’ve done in my home to help lower my electric/gas bills. I look forward to working with Lantern Energy again in the future!

Originally made my frist called in January 2022 and was given an energy audit date in July. Then I receive a call from Lantern energy needing to reschedule due to funding cuts. I was given a new date in November 2022 plus received an appointment invitation which I downloaded to my IPhone. A week before my November date I called Lantern to confirm and was told I had NO appointment, BUT I had Lantern’s invitation. I asked to speak to a supervisor and the girl said no one was available and then admitted it was her mistake. Now was given another new date of January 5, 2023.

Dave and his team showed up for my appointment, they were good gave them the $50 cash fee and left me with a quote which he said included all we had discussed. Found out later from

Margaret that Dave’s quote did not include my basement ceiling insulation cost, which he said it did! Dave did call me directly to apologize and said he could not eat the error it would be too costly! Dave said he would talk to Margaret and they would email me a new estimate! To this date July 2023, STILL nothing. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

This company has unprofessional workers and liars. They don’t know what they’re doing. I end up doing all the work myself and professionally.

This week I had Lantern Energy come to my house and conduct an energy assessment on my home. Dustin and Devon came and provided me with amazing service. They went above and beyond climbing into very tight dirty spaces. Identifying many places that needed sealed. I am very pleased and happy with the service they provided, my house is sealed and I am happy. Very nice, professional, a knowledgeable workers. Would recommend them to everyone. Thank you Dustin and Devon! You Rock!

We went with solar recently and following had a required assessment by Lantern Energy, first time homeowner, I am still learning. We decided to go full energy star insulation in the attic as a recommendation from Lantern Energy.

First, they did not explain prior to doing the work (I should have asked as well) that they would be blowing insulation in the attic and I was under the assumption that they would be putting in insulation panels. My attic, that spans my entire house length, is now basically unusable to an extent.

I can live and have lived with it as I did not ask the questions I should have as a homeowner, fine.

The biggest issue is that when they blew the insulation into the attic, they choked off the soffit at every angle of the attic.

I didn’t know to look or ask as I am not an energy expert or building expert by any means and recently learned that this can and will breed mold as it is very important for the attic to ‘Breath’. I thought a professional company would have the knowledge to not do this. In the summertime it now gets to 130 degrees + in my attic.

Would not recommend this company and wish I had known what I know now when we initially had the work performed.

Want to start out by saying what a pleasant experience I’ve had with Lantern Energy. From Amber McDonnell to Margaret to Dillion and Kyle Rawlings and accompanying Staff. The Energy Solutions upgrades they provided me was excellent. They were professional, very clean and outstanding customer service.Their services increased home value and energy efficiency and lowered my heating and cooling bills. Cant say enough good things about this company. If you want excellent Energy Solutions and upgrades This is the Company to go with!

The office called and canceled my Home energy assessment 5 minutes after it was scheduled to begin. I lost a half day of time…

Lantern Energy did an incredible job with my energy audit. Dustin & Gabe were extremely knowledgeable in all facets of energy saving recommendations, advice and assistance. They worked tirelessly identifying and sealing a multitude of often hard to reach gaps in my home and had no complaints going into my 100 degree attic. I should be saving about $350 per year and now I know the next steps to invest in energy saving products for my house. These employees are great assets to your team! Will definitely do business with Lantern again!

Dustin and Andy came to do an energy audit for my mom. They were very efficient and thorough, explaining everything as they went along. Both were lovely men to interact with, kind, polite and left the house as it was when they arrived. I’m very pleased with what their work and couldn’t be happier with their services.

Attic insulation- Great work by a great crew… Kyle and Chris arrived on time, Kyle did a walk through and explained what they would be doing. I was getting cellulose insulation and the crew placed drop cloths throughout and avoided tracking any insulation. Messy work and did a good clean up when finished. Would recommend Lantern..

Lantern Energy completed an energy audit on my home on March 25th. My wife and I were very happy and completely satisfied with Dustin and his assistant, not only with the improvements and suggestions they made to help us conserve our energy use, but also with the professional and friendly approach they demonstrated throughout the 4.5 hours they were here!

I would highly recommend Lantern Energy to anyone who may want to improve the overall energy use in their home!
